Prestigious grant to Pedro Sanches

Pedro Sanches has received a personal Ph.D grant from Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, a Portuguese governmental research promoting organization. He will be enrolled at KTH supervised by Prof. Magnus Boman and will conduct work in the Userware lab together with Dr. Markus Bylund. His work, planned to start on March 2010, will be initially to develop methods for refining mobile communication traffic data into patterns of human mobility, focusing on privacy considerations. The focal point of his future work is to provide designers of future information ICT with a greater understanding of ethical issues that emerge and/or are altered by new technology artifacts.
